About Us

    Who We Are...

The Northern Utah Human Resource Association (NUHRA) is a professional, non-profit, affiliate Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Our Chapter was chartered on December 17, 1974 as a means to provide vital information and resources to local employers and human resource professionals in the Weber, Davis, and Morgan County area. On January 1, 2001 NUHRA became a "100% Chapter", meaning 100% of our Chapter membership also retains membership with SHRM.

NUHRA partners with the local community, businesses, and the Weber State University Student SHRM Chapter to host professional development meetings, conferences, networking events, a golf tournament providing scholarships to HR students, and more! NUHRA is a great place to meet new and experienced human resource professionals to exchange ideas and experiences, successes and challenges, and service opportunities to further advance the HR profession.

    NUHRA Strategic Objectives...
    • Retain and grow NUHRA membership.
    • Enhance and promote the value of the Chapter and Chapter membership to the HR community through membership benefits, resources, programs and initiatives.
    • Maintain active involvement from our members through committee and program involvement
    • Foster and promote SHRM strategic objectives to serve the professional and advance the profession.
    • Influence public policy or legislation impacting Human Resources through legislative awareness.
    • Maintain a continuous process of member input and feedback to make informed decisions and implement programs and services that serve the NUHRA membership.
