March 18 Student Case Competition

    February 16, 2023

    Save the Date!

The Student case competition will be held March 18 at BYU.

The SHRM Case Competition consists of a one day event where teams of up to six undergraduate or graduate students from various colleges and universities compete in both oral and written presentations. The case is created specifically for the SHRM Case Competition and can focus on any number of HR issues (i.e., Management Practices; Selection & Recruitment; Training & Development; Compensation & Benefits; Employee/Labor Relations; and Health, Safety & Security or a combination).

The teams have a week to write a paper and prepare a presentation addressing the case. On March 18, they present in-person to the judges. Their paper will have been submitted prior and the written judges score those online. The judges receive the scoring criteria which they use to evaluate both the written and oral presentations.

If you are HRCI or SHRM certified and are interested in judging either the written portion (all online), presentation portion (in-person at BYU), or both, please reach out to Rachel at rachelmcgraw@weber.edu.
